more cupcake favors....

Cupcake cookie has been really popular this year, especially for birthday. Below are few images. 

this is not related to cupcakes, but i just wanted to include a teacup cookie order that i had recently as well......tho, the little nipple on the dot, was accidental. didn't mean for that to occur....

 I really like the way the flowers turned out and the swirl on the handle. next time, maybe i will do brown polka dots.

La Cornue Logo Cookies

Have you ever walked into Williams-Sonoma and came across a gorgeous antique range? Something that you would find in France? That is right, I am referring to the La Cornue ranges. I can probably save up enough money to own one in about 40 years +!!  Here is the link if you have no idea what I am talking about! It is definitely worth looking at!  http://lacornueusa.com/.

Coincidentally, I work for Purcell Murray, whom distributes La Cornue to dealers including Williams-Sonoma, all over the country. Anyways, La Cornue was holding an event this month at the Purcell Murray Brisbane Showroom and asked me to make the favors. So, below are few of the images of my creation, the new logo of La Cornue. I made two sets, one batch with black background with gold lettering and the second batch with white background with black lettering. From what I heard, the cookies were very well received!!

I really, really like the way these turned out. Tho, this was a custom design for a customer! I love it when they show me an image, and I just try to duplicate it! So much easier!

 I love the polka dots and the colors work really well together. Though, I have to say, this took me a bit longer to decorate. Lot more space to cover!

white tiger cookies

i had a customer who placed an order from new orleans!! yay! a little hesitant since i haven't really shipped a lot of my cookies and worried the cookies would not hold well during transit. thank goodness it arrived safely! tho, i did have to wrap each one individually and made sure it was padded well with bubble wrap. lo and behold, non arrived broken! i am getting better at this!!!

Caleb's 100th Day and Red Egg & Ginger Favors!

I had to make 130 cookies for Caleb's 100th Day and Red Egg & Ginger Favors. I think it was more than I could have handled. Thank goodness, I started in advanced! Even David got involved and helped me punch holes for the favor tags! So awesome to have extra set of hands! 

Soona wanted a cub, since Caleb was born in the year of the tiger. She sent me an image of what she wanted the cub to look like and I tried to redesign it as best to my ability. I didn't have a big tiger cookie cutter, so I just drew it in onto a round cookie cutter! 

I am definitely going to take a little break.......I am seriously smelling like flour and sugar.....

Sharon's Bridal Shower!

Sharon and David's wedding is right around the corner! I can't believe my little cuz is getting married!! Sharon had her bridal shower this past weekend. I had the honor of making her bridal shower cookies! I hope they liked it!!!!!! Here are few pic.......

Bridal Theme - Sex in the City

hmmm, not really sure if i nailed this one. i had a hard time with the hot pink icing, plus all the shoe designs turned out not so "Sex in the City" but at the end, it turned out okay. at least the bride and the guest liked it.

tiger or a bear???

so, here is the first attempt to freehand draw a tiger. but the more i look at it, the more it looks like a bear..

  it didn't take me as long as i thought!

baptism cookies!

my first baptism cookies! these white cross with pink stripes are my favorite!

i definitely need to practice more..these blues onsies/blue cross didn't turn out as good as i hoped. you know, it always look so much better in my mind!!!

for the life of me, I could not find a cross cookie cutter!!! so, i ended up using a round cutter instead and drawing the cross in. hmmm....need more practice!!!!!

Averie's 1st Birthday!!!!!!

Averie is turning 1 this week!!!! It's amazing how fast time flies!

Koreans celebrate a baby's 1st birthday with a big party and since she is 50% Korean, we had to throw one for her too!! For her "Dol" I decided against giving out the traditional rice cakes and decided to make cookies instead. What else would I make????
